Metro Rail testing will impact traffic 29 February  – 11 March

Metro Rail advises that electronic detection and service pit inspections will take place on Childers Street, Ormond Street, Altona Street, Tennyson Street, Bakehouse Road, McClure Road and Arden Street, near the site of the proposed western tunnel entrance. Local traffic along these streets will be managed using a stop-go arrangement 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday . WalkWest March 6 2016

Reminder: The Western Health Foundation is hosting on Sunday 6 March 2016 the third annual WalkWest event at Doug Mills Reserve in Footscray Park. WalkWest is a 5k or 10k Walk or Run  on the footpaths alongside the Maribyrnong River from Doug Mills Reserve (by Footscray City Rowing Club) and Coulson Gardens.  The event will commence at 9:00am to 1:00pm.  It is a FREE entry walk/run event to enter and we ask our participants to fundraise for the event. Flemington Epsom Rd development horror. ACT NOW

A new proposal  by the VRC to rezone land inside Flemington Racecourse would allow high rise development, including a 31 storey apartment tower in Epsom Road near the Racecourse Rd/Ascot Vale Rd roundabout  and more the other side of the racecourse. The height and density is inappropriate and unjustified. Shared Path Closure Mt Alexander Rd
