Salvation Army
Adult Services
Community Outreach Service (COS)

Provides services to homeless people who are risk of homelessness via referrals from other agencies.

Located in Kensington, the Community Outreach Service is a cluster of several programs, each with a dedicated service delivery focus. Individuals with complex needs, homeless young couples, women with substance abuse difficulties, women in crisis or individuals who are homeless are all able to seek assistance from our programs. The integrity of each program is maintained within the group, to allow for targeting specific need and provision of continuity of care. Continuity of care can often be provided by intra-program referral and consultation.

The programs include: SANS Intensive Support Program; Women’s Accommodation and Support Service; Young Adults Program; Eunike and Places. COS also has considerable expertise in developing and managing individual client packages referred from the Department of Human Services.
